Cowboys, Casinos & Creamy Desserts

...Spent our weekend at the new Desert Diamond Casino Resort....(Conveniently located close to the rodeo grounds where we attended the annual post rodeo wing ding, complete with bar-b-cue, beer/wine, and dancing cowboys)....Enjoyed our stay...a fun suite style room (ask about the bath tub!), good food, swimming (Steph and Hunter visited with his turtle raft) and of course an ever elusive opportunity to win the big bucks!!

...Ended up Sunday at Vero Amore, a cafe style bistro serving a delicious creamy dessert with fresh blackberries...Pana Cotta? I think it's called...Five Star food rating!... Big shout out to Catherine for finding this place!!!

Political intrigue....Intriguing?? or not so much??... Make time for.....Exercise, reading, computer surfing, video editing, photo organizing, or blogging???... Wouldn't it be cool to have a live in maid who cooks AND a seminary in Tucson???... Lindsay, Scott & Brody's trip to Tucson this weekend....a lunch date hugfest in the making??... Inside my head???....a scary place to be.....

Weird Phone Karma

I have used a cell phone for many years, at least 10 I would say ....As of yesterday, I am on phone number three ( a good sign that I am a responsible phone owner)....Both times I have had to replace my phone because.....I dropped it in the toilet.....
....I ask you.....WHAT are the ODDS??? WHAT does this MEAN????

Note to self: Do not bring cell phone anywhere close to toilet....

RELIVING MOMMYHOOD

Kinda like riding a bike....it's all coming back to me now....The joy AND the fatigue....The knowledge that there is no better way to spend a day...The heartfelt wish to see more of my precious Brody!.. Hunter is with his Mimi for a week, and I already am acutely aware of how much I will miss him when he goes home (where he is meant to be!) with Mommy and Daddy...

Art shots, Random thoughts

My brain is full of random thoughts - none of which have a meaningful point...so it's probably best to just show the pix which I now think are cool to take for posting on this blog. I do have a reputation for excessive video/picture taking...now I'm feeling the need for more "art shots"(my family will be so PLEASED to hear that)...

Game day rituals are alive and well: pregame activities, walk to the game, "desire-to-win"adrenaline rushes during the game, thrill or let down after!... The years pass, and it never gets any easier to decide where to eat afterwards ("I don't care, anything sounds fine to me!") I always love what I order, but wish it didn't have calories....I'm not gonna lie, I'd rather not slowly keep gaining weight as I age till I can't find a t-shirt that will hide my rolls when I'm sitting...or standing for that matter...So, I soldier on... hoping to lose more than I gain in this one aspect of my life!

To Be or Not to Be... Neurotic

Life is fragile....I've always been acutely aware of it...Does that make me neurotic or wise? Maybe both...Sometimes the knowledge serves no purpose but to stop my heart for a moment; while other times it inspires a level of appreciation for life that is indescribable....Of course life is eternal and the best is yet to come when we see the face of our precious Lord...but for now I am living in this roller coaster world with abiding gratitude for friends and family to share tears, laughter, words and wine!

Because Sharing is Caring?

Not sure if this is a good idea or just self indulgence to the max...I care, but don't know if I should be sharing with. Maybe sharing is, in truth, just annoying. I know my "peeps" will indulge me, but do I have anything worthy of sharing in a busy world where everyone is struggling to keep priorities in order?....I mean, shouldn't I be cleaning a toilet or something instead of spending hours trying to figure out how to change the font color or add a picture to my blog? Good to have a creative place to write out and express WHATEVER though....We'll see if this ends up being a hit or miss!
